Do you know the mythology of the grasshopper and the ant? The hardworking ant spends his summer building a home for the winter, while the careless grasshopper just sings and dances. When winter comes, the grasshopper is hungry and cold while the ant thrives.

Well, this summer I grasshoppered hard. I rode adventure after adventure, until I crash landed into the consequences of my actions.

They spoke and informed me that I had failed to build a nest, that I had no savings, and no clear future plans. I felt humiliated. While making peace with my moments of groundlessness— I wrote this song as an embrace of the moment.

The main themes are releasing a sense of urgency and clarity— of knowing who you are, how you will contribute, how you will love.

My hope is that it resonates with anyone (and everyone) experiencing instability, and gives you courage.
