In honor of World Ocean Day Ayaharmony releases a new downtempo track, “Love Song to Yemanja.” Earlier this year, on Mother Yemanja’s annual day of celebration February 2nd, Ayaharmony recorded this song with a beautiful altar in devotion to this powerful Orisha. She collected water from the ocean and made offerings during the recording session.
Yemanja is also known as the Mother of all Orishas, Mother of us all, or Queen of the Ocean and ancient myths say that we all come from the ocean and one day we will all return to Her.
This song came through Ayaharmony a few years ago as she was living in Northern California and feeling the sadness of not living close to the ocean anymore as she used to live in Florida. As she was receiving this song, memories of peace and compassion flooded her being as she recognized that she could never be separate from Yemanja because Yemanja lives inside of her, and inside of us all.
This dreamy and meditative track takes the listener on a journey into the depths of the ocean and oftentimes people have said they can feel the power of the salt water washing them clean and bringing them into a trance when they listen.
